Breast Enlargement Abroad - Breast Augmentation Abroad

Breast enlargement are, aside from liposuction, the most successful and most popular type of cosmetic procedure around. They are constantly vying for number one position on both sides of the Atlantic and now the craze has gone global with breast augmentation procedures now available worldwide at varying degrees of prices. Many women feel very self-conscious about their bust; the plethora of celebrity magazines and advertisements present a certain image of the female which it then seems important to strive towards. Whilst it is clearly not important to have a breast augmentation simply to fit in, for some women it goes beyond this into a cripplingly low self confidence and other problems for which surgery can be a real solution.

For the amount of work involved, and the dramatic change it can make to any woman’s appearance, breast augmentation procedures may seem quite cheap, sometimes being around the same region as rhinoplasty but, if you just can’t seem to raise the funds, going abroad in order to give your bust a boost is an option which more and more people are taking.

You could hop the pond and go to the U.S in order to get your breasts enlarged in the home of plastic surgery, but this isn’t really going to save you any money. The real savings require a bit of seeking out and take you to some unexpected locations but, ultimately, if you’re convinced it’s safe and might save you money, it is well worth considering.
Whilst you will soon be full of life and bouncing around in the new post-operation bikini you treated yourself to before you went under the knife, the first few weeks after your procedure will likely be very painful- this has to be taken into account when you consider travelling to another country in order to enhance your natural assets; tan lines and a little bit of sunburn will be the least of your worries. For the first three days after your surgery you will likely be in a lot of pain and will feel very sleepy- the latter being as a result of being under anaesthetic and from the medication you will be given to help you to manage the considerable pain which you will be in.

It is also not uncommon for patients to feel quite unhappy in the first few days following surgery. Such a mood can be put down to many things, but it is really just the general accumulation of all the stress, medication, anaesthetic, adrenalin and surgery taking its toll upon you. Do you really want to be so far away from home and from your support network of friends and family when you are feeling quite low and stressed? This is one of the major downsides of surgery tourism, its biggest attraction is also its biggest drawback; you are in an exotic location but this means you are very much out of your comfort zone when comfort is the one thing which you will likely be craving more than anything else.

Other side effects also include the fact that you won’t be able to sleep on your abdomen for about 5 weeks; with such discomfort whilst sleeping, it is important that you are comfortable and this may mean paying out more than you can afford for a nice hotel. The company you choose will only have a duty of care to you for a few days after which you will either have to travel home or, if you still don’t feel up to that, you will have to find your own accommodation. As well as being stressful either of these alternatives is obviously costly and thus the saving you are making really needs to be worth it.

Speaking of savings, the average breast augmentation surgery in the U.K can set you back anything from £3500 to around £5000. This is a lot of money but savings can be made in different countries. In Western Europe you could have the procedure performed in Belgium for around £2000 to £2700, a massive saving in a country which is not too far away.

Spain also offers breast augmentation surgeries for prices cheaper than can be found in the U.K, you could pay around £2900 if you ended up going there. Looking further afield, South Africa and Argentina offer great savings and India is drastically cheaper than most western countries for the procedure. However, you cannot just look at costs and decide outright about what country you want to go to. Consider the level of expertise in the country of your choice, what the likelihood of disease is and how well you think you will be able to assimilate into a foreign country (how well do you speak the language?etc.)

With an operation as major as breast implants, it is also important that you ensure that the company you are entrusting with your health is offering to give you the aftercare you will need within the U.K. As well as the regular check-ups you will require, it is also important that you know you have somewhere you can turn to if your implants start to leak or, indeed, you decide that you wish to reverse the operation because, having experienced a bustier lifestyle, you decide it really isn’t for you.

All these options should be available to you in the U.K however, if your company is wholly based abroad, they may only offer appointments in one or two major cities in the U.K. Do you have the time to travel long-distance in order to attend follow-up appointments and indeed, on a practical note, will essential items such as seatbelts be too painful to wear for long periods of time in the weeks immediately following your procedure?

A breast enlargement abroad can really enhance anybody’s life but only is proper care is taken before, during and after the cosmetic surgery; saving money on the surgery might allow you to buy more fabulous bikini’s but, if you don’t have the surgery to a high enough standard, you won’t be able to wear them!
